If the business has a number of franchise locations, then part of the process is to create / claim the Google business listings as well as other local citations which are profiles where the name, address, and phone number for a local business are located. It also extends to managing online ratings and reviews, social media engagement, and so on.
Claiming and managing a Google business profile allows people to find information about your business quickly and easily, when doing a search for "dentist in tulare" or "dentist near me" as an example. People will often take direct action by going to the website or calling the business directly from these profiles.
